Season series: A goal 20 seconds into the first period by Michael Frolik was the only goal of the game in a Winnipeg Jets victory against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Nov. 2. Since the loss, the Blackhawks have gone 17-4-1 to take the Central Division lead.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg has remained in the Central Division race by earning points consistently. A 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday was the 11th game in their previous 12 that Winnipeg earned at least a point (7-1-4). Center Mathieu Perreault scored a goal to extend his point streak to seven games. Coach Paul Maurice told reporters Monday he will continue his goaltending rotation through the holiday break, which means Michael Hutchinson will get a second look at the Blackhawks. Hutchinson made 33 saves in the first game against Chicago to record his only NHL shutout.

Blackhawks team scope: The Blackhawks defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs, 4-0 on Sunday for their third win in their past four games. Second-year backup Antti Raanta, who has won his past four starts, made 31 saves to earn his second shutout. Center Brad Richards sat out Sunday with an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. Kris Versteeg centered the second line in Richards' place and scored his ninth goal. Chicago did not practice on Monday.
