The Edmonton Eskimos have extended the contracts of defensive end Marcus Howard and offensive lineman Tony Washington.

Originally signed as a free agent in 2011 before re-signing last year, Howard has recorded 55 defensive tackles and 23 sacks through 40 games of his five seasons in Edmonton. He was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts and appeared in nine games the same year.

Washington was acquired in a draft day trade with the Toronto Argonauts in May and started 13 games at left tackle for the Eskimos. He has previously spent time with the Dallas Vigilantes of the Arena Football League.
