{allcanada} OHL: McDavid adds to scoring lead as Otters beat 67's

ERIE, Pa. - The Connor McDavid hype continues to grow one game at a time.

McDavid had a goal and three assists for the Erie Otters in their 7-4 victory over the Ottawa 67's on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

The 2015 NHL Draft eligible prospect now has 42 points in 14 games this season to lead the OHL.

Dylan Strome had two goals for the Otters (13-0-1) while Alex DeBrincat, TJ Fergus, Nick Betz and Travis Wood rounded out the offence.

Jeremiah Addison led Ottawa (6-8-0) with two goals and an assist. Connor Graham and Erik Bradford also chipped in.

Daniel Dekoning made 26 saves for the win while Leo Lazarev kicked out 31 shots for the 67's.

Erie failed to score on four power-play chances while Ottawa went 1 for 4.

WOLVES 7 ICEDOGS 2

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Nathan Pancel had a hat trick and added an assist in Sudbury's rout over Niagara.

Matt Schmalz struck twice with Nicholas Baptiste and Pavel Jenys rounding out the Wolves (2-13-0) attack that scored five times in the third period.

Blake Siebenaler and Carter Verhaeghe responded for the IceDogs (2-12-0).

GENERALS 5 BULLS 2

BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Michael Dal Colle had a goal and two assists for Oshawa in its win over the Bulls.

Bradley Latour, Josh Sterk, Tobias Lindberg and Hunter Smith also contributed with goals for the Generals (12-2-1).

Stephen Harper and Jordan Subban replied for Belleville (10-4-0).

FRONTENACS 6 WHALERS 2

PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Spencer Watson and Lawson Crouse both struck twice for Kingston as it dominated the Whalers.

Zack Dorval and Ryan Kujawinski also chipped in for the Frontenacs (7-5-1).

Bryce Yetman and Matt Mistele responded for Plymouth (6-8-1).

KNIGHTS 4 SPITFIRES 3

WINDSOR, Ont. — Mitchell Marner scored three times for London as it edged the Spitfires.

Chandler Yakimowicz had the Knights' (9-6-0) other goal.

Chris Marchese had two goals for Windsor (5-8-1) with Trevor Murphy rounding out the attack.

SPIRIT 5 GREYHOUNDS 4

SAGINAW, Mich. — Mitchell Stephens scored twice for the Spirit, who bounced back from giving up four goals in the first period, to beat Sault Ste. Marie.

Sean Callaghan, Marcus Crawford and Dylan Sadowy rounded out the Saginaw (6-7-1) offence.

Blake Speers, Jared McCann, Sergey Tolchinsky and Gabe Guertler all had goals for the Greyhounds (10-5-0).

BARRIE, Ont. — Robby Fabbri scored in the shootout to lift Guelph over the Colts.

Marc Stevens and Pius Suter chipped in during regulation for the Storm (7-4-1).

Kevin Labanc and Andrew Mangiapane found the back of the net for Barrie (7-6-1).

RANGERS 5 ATTACK 4 (SO)

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Nick Magyar had the deciding goal in the shootout for Kitchener in its win over the Attack.

Mason Kohn, Brandon Robinson, Max Iafrate and Ryan MacInnis scored in regulation for the Rangers (8-3-3).

Zach Nastasiuk found the back of the net twice and added an assist for Owen Sound (8-3-4), with Chris Bigras and Kevin Hancock rounding out the attack.
