FLAMES (13-7-2) at DUCKS (13-4-5)

TV: SNW, SNF, PRIME

Season series: The Anaheim Ducks lost to the Calgary Flames 4-3 in a shootout at Scotiabank Saddledome on Nov. 18. Sean Monahan scored the shootout winner for Calgary and defenseman Dennis Wideman had two goals in regulation. Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen had one goal and two assists. Flames goalie Jonas Hiller made 24 saves in his first start against his former team.

Flames team scope: Calgary trailed the New Jersey Devils 4-2 with less than three minutes remaining on Saturday, but pulled goaltender Karri Ramo for an extra attacker and scored twice, including the game-tying goal by forward Curtis Glencross with five seconds left. The Flams won the shootout for a 5-4 victory. Ramo improved to 4-2-1 and has a 2.88 goals-against average and .898 save percentage this season. It was Calgary's second shootout victory in its past three games and improved their record in November to 7-3-0. Hiller likely will face his former team for the second time this season and first time in Anaheim since signing with Calgary during the offseason. The Flames have lost 18 straight games at the Honda Center; they haven't won there since a 5-1 victory on Jan. 19, 2004. Calgary will play the second of a back-to-back against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center on Wednesday.

Ducks team scope: Anaheim defeated the Arizona Coyotes 2-1 on Sunday. Goalie Frederik Andersen made 26 saves, Patrick Maroon scored the game-winner and Ryan Kesler had two assists. The Ducks have struggled in November with two regulation wins in 10 games largely due to the absence of leading goal-scorer Corey Perry. The 2010-11 MVP has two goals in his past nine games and has one assist since returning from an illness on Nov. 16. Despite Perry's scoring drought, the Ducks still own the most points in the Western Conference (31). Defenseman Clayton Stoner was held out on Sunday with "mumps-like symptoms," according to the team. If Stoner is diagnosed with the disease, he will be the third Anaheim player to miss time with the mumps this season. The Ducks finish a three-game homestand on Friday against the Chicago Blackhawks.
