The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed defenceman Stephane Robidas to a three-year contract worth an average annual value of $3 million.

Robidas, 37, scored five goals added five assists in 38 games with the Dallas Stars and Anaheim Ducks in 2013-2014.

In 885 career NHL games with the Ducks, Stars, Chicago Blackhawks and Montreal Canadiens, Robidas has scored 56 goals and added 195 assists.

Originally selected in the seventh round (164th overall), Robidas just completed a four-year deal worth an average annual value of $3.3 million.

He fractured his right leg in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs while with the Stars.

The signing came minutes after the Leafs completed a trade, re-acquiring forward Matt Frattin from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Jerry D'Amigo and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Frattin returns to the Leafs who originally drafted him in the fourth round (99th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and gave him his start in the NHL.

The Leafs dealt him to the Los Angeles Kings as part of the package to acquire Jonathan Bernier.

Frattin scored two goals and added five assists in 44 games with the Kings and Blues in 2013-14. In 126 career games he has scored 17 goals and added 18 assists.

D'Amigo scored one goal and two assists in 22 games with the Maple Leafs in 2013-14.

The Leafs originally drafted D'Amigo in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Toronto also signed Leo Komarov to a four-year deal worth an average annual value of $2.95 million.

Komarov, 27, was an unrestricted free agent after spending 2013-14 with Moscow Dynamo of the Kontinental Hockey League. In 52 games with Moscow, Komarov scored 12 goals and 22 assists.

Originally drafted by the Leafs in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, the Finn spent one year in the NHL.

He spent the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign with the Leafs, scoring four goals and five assists over 42 games.

Komarov was a member of the bronze medal-winning Finnish team at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
