{allcanada} Avril Lavigne Celebrates Her Anniversary With Huge 17-Carat Diamond Ring from Husband Chad Kroeger

We guess her 14-carat engagement ring was just a bit too modest, because one year after tying the knot with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Avril Lavigne has gotten a major bling uprgrade — she’s now sporting one of the biggest rocks in Hollywood.

“I still can’t believe my 1 year anniversary gift. 17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby,” Lavigne shared on Twitter, along with a photo of the massive sparkler, which is so large she’s struggling to keep her finger upright. The emerald-style skating rink — whoops, we mean diamond — appears to be on a platinum band, and is a a classic complement to the pear-shaped stunner Kroeger proposed with. But the massive stone isn’t the biggest in Lavigne’s collection. On their wedding day, her crooner husband gifted his wife with a 20-carat emerald ring. We imagine he’s already scouting the crown jewels of European countries to find the perfect “push present” for Lavigne one day.

For now we’re holding out hope that the couple, who looks happier than ever, will renew their vows, just so we can see how’d she’d one-up her black wedding dress. What do you think of Lavigne’s extremely sparkly present? Is it gorgeous or over-the-top?
