Mike Myers introduced his directorial debut, “Supermensch,” about manager Shep Gordon — who masterminded the careers of Alice Cooper, Emeril Lagasse and Teddy Pendergrass — at MoMA on Thursday, saying, “[Shep] knows more Hollywood gossip than any human on Earth and refuses to repeat it. He’s like a father figure to me, as he’s been to thousands of people in showbiz.”
In the wild film, which is getting early Oscar buzz, Gordon recalls staying at a hotel on a remote island that had only two rooms when his laptop broke. After desperately calling the front desk for tech support, there was a knock at his door — and Steve Jobs appeared. The Apple boss was the guest staying in the other room and fixed the computer.
“He did it in two minutes, no idea what he did,” Gordon told us of his all-star IT help.
Celebrating at a Wayfarer after-party hosted by Bob Pittman’s Casa Dragones were Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, who showed off pics of their newborn, Otis.
