PHILADELPHIA -- The Anaheim Ducks have acquired center Ryan Kesler in a trade from the Vancouver Canucks on Friday.
In exchange for Kesler, the Ducks reportedly sent the Canucks forward Nick Bonino, defenseman Luca Sbisa and the No. 24 pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, which begins with the first round Friday at Wells Fargo Center (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TSN).
As part of the trade, the Ducks also traded their third-round pick in 2014 (No. 85) and receive the Canucks' third-round pick in 2015.
The Canucks already own the No. 6 pick in this year's draft.
Kesler, who turns 30 on Aug. 31, has a full no-trade clause, but he asked to be traded before the NHL Trade Deadline in March and gave the Canucks a list of teams he'd be willing to go to. He has two years and $10 million ($5 million salary-cap charge) remaining on his contract.
Kesler had 25 goals and 43 points in 77 games last season after scoring 13 points in only 17 games in the 2012-13 season, when he missed 31 games because of injuries to his shoulder, wrist and ankle.
He won the Frank J. Selke Trophy in the 2010-11 season, when he scored a career-best 41 goals to go with 73 points, a plus-24 rating and 83 takeaways, which ranked second in the NHL. He helped the Canucks reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2011 and scored a career-best 75 points in 2009-10.
Kesler has 393 points in 655 NHL games, all with the Canucks.
Bonino, 26, had his best season to date in 2013-14, when he had 49 points in 77 games and was clutch in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with four goals, including the overtime winner in Anaheim's series-clinching, come-from-behind 5-4 win in Game 6 of the Western Conference First Round against the Dallas Stars. Bonino also scored the goal that cut Dallas' lead to 4-3 with 2:10 remaining in regulation.
Bonino has 82 points in 189 NHL games, all with Anaheim.
Sbisa, 24, had six points in 30 games with the Ducks last season. He has 56 points in 266 NHL games, including 227 with the Ducks, who acquired him from the Philadelphia Flyers on June 26, 2009.
