Yes, the Geek Wave looks to be a Pono killer par excellence! And it has a much more practical form factor. I, too, hope they can bring it to market - soon. And I'm somewhat certain they will; these are, after all, the same guys who brought us the DaVinci DAC. One thing I noticed is that only the top-level model provides a digital output, the rest provide an analog 3.5 mm jack. However, since they do have the DaVinci experience, I'm also somewhat certain that their DAC implementation will be more than adequate for all but the fussiest audiophools.
The only thing I'm wondering about is why their battery life appears to be only 10 hours with a 5000 mAH battery. My Sandisk Sansa e280 provides 15-20 hours using a 1300 mAH battery. The Geek Wave should be capable of 20-30 hours. Curious.....
