{allcanada} CARCILLO GIVEN GAME MISCONDUCT AFTER CONTACT WITH OFFICIAL

New York Rangers forward Dan Carcillo was given a game misconduct for making contact with an official in the first period of Game 3 against the Montreal Canadiens.

While teammate Derek Dorsett was fighting Canadiens forward Brandon Prust, Carcillo hit the arm of a linesman while attempting to intervene.

A potential suspension to Carcillo would be the sixth of his career. His most recent ban was seven games for boarding Edmonton Oilers defenceman Tom Gilbert in January, 2012.

In eight games with the Rangers in the 2014 playoffs, Carcillo has scored two goals.
