The Montreal Alouettes have called a news conference for Wednesday where veteran offensive lineman Scott Flory is expected to announce his retirement.

Flory was named the new president of the CFL Players' Association at the end of March. He previously served as the Players' Association's second vice-president.

Flory, 37, is a two-time Most Outstanding Lineman Award winner (2008-09) and a three-time Grey Cup Champion, winning with Montreal in 2002, 2009 and 2010.

The 15-year CFL veteran had his final season cut short in 2013 when he suffered a biceps tear against Calgary on July 12. He played in 243 CFL contests and started every game for the Alouettes in the 12 seasons prior to last year.
