The Godfather Part II: The Coppola Restoration / Work From Home
Alex Galchenyuk took a step towards returning to the Montreal Canadiens' lineup on Wednesday, skating on his own prior to the team's morning practice.
It was Galchenyuk's first time on the ice since the 20-year-old forward injured his right knee in a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Apr. 9.
Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien said last week that Galchenyuk could be ready at some point to play in the second round series against the Boston Bruins, which begins Wednesday.
"There's a chance he'll play in the second round, I hope," Therrien told reporters after Friday's morning skate in Brossard. "Not quite sure yet."
Galchenyuk appeared in 65 games with the Canadiens this season, scoring 13 goals and 31 points.
After a day off on Tuesday, the Canadiens returned to practice with nearly the same line combinations as they had in Round 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, with Travis Moen instead of Michel Bournival on the fourth line with Daniel Briere and Dale Weise.
