PORTLAND, Ore. -- Brendan Burke stopped 32 shots and Oliver Bjorkstrand had a pair of goals as the Portland Winterhawks blanked the visiting Spokane Chiefs 6-0 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Brendan Leipsic, Paul Bittner, Adam De Champlain and Keegan Iverson also scored for the Winterhawks (35-12-5), who improved to 10-0-1 in their last 11 contests, while Nicolas Petan and Taylor Leier chipped in with two assists apiece.

Defencemen Jeremy McIntosh and Cole Wedman were each a team-worst minus-3 for the Chiefs (31-16-4).

Eric Williams started in net for Spokane, but was pulled after allowing four goals on 22 shots. Garret Hughson replaced Williams to start the third period and stopped 9-of-11 shots in relief.

Portland went 3 for 6 on the power play while the Chiefs failed to score on either of their chances with the man advantage.

MOOSE JAW, Sask. -- Ty Edmonds stopped 21 shots as Prince George handed the Warriors their eighth loss in a row.

Todd Fiddler scored the eventual winner for the Cougars (21-26-7) at 11:30 of the third period while also picking up an assist on Marc McNulty's first period goal.

Josh Uhrich scored the lone goal for Moose Jaw (13-30-8).

Justin Paulic turned away 23-of-25 shots for the Warriors.

PATS 6 BLADES 0

REGINA -- Chandler Stephenson scored twice as the Pats used a four-goal second period to down Saskatoon.

Dryden Hunt had a goal and two assists for Regina (26-21-5) while Daniel Wapple only had to make 16 saves for his third-career shutout.

Kyle Burroughs, Logan McVeigh and Connor Gay also scored for the Pats.

Troy Trombley stopped 41-of-47 shots for the Blades (14-35-4).

BRONCOS 4 TIGERS 3

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. -- Graham Black scored three times and Julius Honka chipped in with two assists as the Broncos slipped past Medicine Hat.

Dillon Heatherington had a goal and an assist for Swift Current (26-18-8) while Eetu Laurikainen made 30 saves for the win.

Cole Sanford had a pair of goals for the Tigers (29-18-3) and Alex Mowbray scored once.

Medicine Hat's Marek Langhamer turned aside 34-of-38 shots in defeat.

HITMEN 7 WHEAT KINGS 4

CALGARY -- Brady Brassart, Greg Chase and Ben Thomas each had a goal and an assist as the Hitmen downed Brandon to halt a three-game slide.

Chase Lang, Jake Virtanen, Connor Rankin and Adam Tambellini also scored for Calgary (32-13-6).

Ryley Lindgren scored once and set up two more for the Wheat Kings (26-19-6) and Eric Roy, Jayce Hawryluk and Quinton Lisoway had a goal apiece.

Chris Driedger made 27 saves for the Hitmen as Brandon's Curtis Honey stopped 35-of-42 shots in defeat.

OIL KINGS 3 AMERICANS 1

EDMONTON -- Tristan Jarry made 28 saves as the Oil Kings extended their win streak to seven games by downing Tri-City.

Curtis Lazar and Lane Bauer scored 47 seconds apart in the second period to put Edmonton (36-13-1) ahead for good, and Aaron Irving added one more late in the period.

Brian Williams ruined Jarry's shutout bid when he scored at 19:33 of the third period.

Eric Comrie stopped 35-of-38 shots for the Americans (25-22-5).

ICE 4 RAIDERS 1

CRANBROOK, B.C. -- Luke Philp and Zach Franko each had a goal and an assist as Kootenay toppled Prince Albert.

Tim Bozon and Zak Zoborosky also scored for the Ice (26-21-4) while Rinat Valiev and Jagger Dirk tacked on two assists apiece.

Dakota Conroy scored the lone goal for the Raiders (23-25-3).

Kootenay's Mackenzie Skapski made 30 saves for the win as Prince Albert's Cole Cheveldave kicked out 29-of-32 shots in a losing cause.

HURRICANES 6 REBELS 5 (SO)

RED DEER, Alta. -- Kolten Olynek scored once in regulation and then the shootout winner as Lethbridge snapped the Rebels' five-game win streak.

Reid Duke had two goals and an assist for the Hurricanes (10-38-5) while Carter Folk and Nick Walters added the others. Jamal Watson and Riley Sheen each had two assists.

Brooks Maxwell had a pair of goals for Red Deer (27-21-2) and Nick Charif, Presten Kopeck and Rhyse Dieno each scored once.

Jonny Hogue made 36 saves for Lethbridge as Patrik Bartosak stopped 28-of-33 shots for Red Deer.

ROCKETS 4 BLAZERS 2

KAMLOOPS, B.C. -- Jackson Whistle stopped 36-of-38 shots as Kelowna doubled up the Blazers.

Justin Kirkland and Myles Bell each had two goals and an assist for the Rockets (41-7-3) while Madison Bowey tacked on two assists.

Cole Ully scored both goals for Kamloops (11-36-5), which dropped its fifth straight game.

Bolton Pouliot turned away 30-of-34 shots for the Blazers.

GIANTS 5 ROYALS 4 (SO)

VICTORIA -- Cain Franson scored once in regulation and then added the shootout winner as Vancouver halted the Royals' three-game win streak.

Thomas Foster, Tim Traber and Dalton Sward also scored for the Giants (26-19-8) while Joel Hamilton had two assists.

Logan Nelson scored twice for Victoria (33-16-3) and Steven Hodges and Brandon Magee had a goal and an assist each.

Vancouver's Payton Lee made 28 saves for the win. Patrik Polivka turned away 26-of-30 shots for the Royals.

THUNDERBIRDS 2 SILVERTIPS 1

EVERETT, Wash. -- Taran Kozun turned aside 24 shots as Seattle held on to hand the Silvertips their sixth straight loss.

Ryan Gropp and Mathew Barzal each had a goal and an assist for the Thunderbirds (32-15-5).

Everett (25-19-8) got its lone goal from Joshua Winquist.

Daniel Cotton stopped 22-of-24 shots for the Silvertips.
