WINNIPEG -- Reigning Canadian champion Brad Jacobs remained undefeated at the Canadian Curling Trials after a 9-4 win Tuesday night over Kevin Koe.

The Sault Ste. Marie skip moved to 4-0, while Koe dropped to 0-4.

In the second end, Koe and Jacobs formed a crowded house and Jacobs came out of the rockfest with a deuce to tie the match 2-2.

The killer was the eighth end, when Jacobs was sitting four and Koe, the 2010 world champion, had the hammer and missed.

The steal of four ended the match.

Reigning Olympic gold medallist Kevin Martin was the other undefeated team heading into his game against veteran Glenn Howard with a 3-0 record.

Howard was leading 7-4 after eight ends.
