Eight-year-old Matthew Jacko says he's Sidney Crosby's biggest fan. Matthew has an inoperable brain tumor and is currently receiving hospice care. When the Penguins saw Matthew's story on a local television station, they invited the boy and his family to attend a game and meet his idol.
Crosby gave Matthew a tour of the arena and an autographed stick and jersey. Matthew's parents are unsure of how much time they have left with their son. However, they are amazed by his attitude and zest for the present.
"He never complains, never questions, he just does whatever they (the doctors) want him to do," Matthew's mom, Carey, told Pittsburgh's WTAE.
"Laughter is the best thing in the whole wide world," added Matthew.
Surely, Matthew was smiling when the Penguins won with him in the house Thursday night.
