PHILADELPHIA -- Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane left the game Friday against the Philadelphia Flyers late in the first period with what the team announced as a lower-body injury and will not return.
Kane exited the game after Philadelphia defenseman Braydon Coburn hit him along the boards. Kane, who missed two games with an injury earlier this month, skated one 52-second shift early in the second period before leaving the game.
Kane is tied for second on the Jets with seven goals, but has only one in his past 13 games.
