The Canadian Football League fined Edmonton Eskimos head coach Kavis Reed $2,500 on Thursday for inappropriate comments he made directly towards the officiating crew following the Eskimos game against the Calgary Stampeders on Labour Day Monday.
The Eskimos came up just short in their comeback effort against the Stampeders, dropping a 37-34 decision.
Heading into the fourth quarter, the Eskimos trailed 30-0 before racking up 27 points in the final frame.
The two teams meet in the rematch on Friday at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.
