Oh baby!

One of Justin Bieber's first big hits, "Baby," has been given the Diamond status by the Recording Industry Association of America's Gold & Platinum Program after going 12x platinum.

The RIAA confirmed the honor via Twitter, noting that the song was the top digital single ever, counting sales and streams.

During his concert in Newark, N.J., on Wednesday, the 19-year-old was presented with the award by manager Scooter Braun, much to the delight of all the fans in attendance.

The pop star later took to Twitter and wrote, "Amazing night and honored. So much more to do. I love my #Beliebers. Thank u!!"

Following the show, Bieber was inexplicably spotted wearing a V for Vendetta mask as he made his way back to his hotel in New York City.

Of course, this isn't the first time the guy has opted to cover up his face in a rather unusual manner.

Earlier this year, Bieber donned a gas mask of all things—not once, but twice—while in London. And in 2012, he sported a metallic gold mask as he strolled around Venice Beach, Calif.

But hey, when you've got the top digital single ever, we suppose you can wear whatever you like, right?
