The Alamo Drafthouse does not like it when people use their cell phones while watching films in the movie chain. That's why those who run the establishment been asking their actor and director friends to film PSAs about texting and talking while visiting a movie theater.
Their latest PSA star is Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of the Ryan Gosling movies "Drive" and "Only God Forgives." "Hi, my name is Nicholas Winding Refn, and I love my cell phone," he says in the above video. "When I see movies, I turn it off, and I suggest, like sex, let's keep it in the dark guys. Okay? Thank you."
The PSA then includes the text, "Nicolas may seem like a nice guy, but if you talk or text, he can get Ryan Gosling to do horrible things to you," followed by scenes of Gosling beating the living daylights out of people in "Only God Forgives." So, uhh, you've been warned?
"Only God Forgives" is due in theaters on July 19.
