ST. EUSTACHE, Quebec -- Ron Beauchamp Jr. won his first pole position of the season and fifth of his career Saturday for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 event at Autodrome St. Eustache.
Beauchamp had a lap of 17.307 seconds (83.203 mph) around the .4-mile oval to take the top spot for the National 250. It was his first pole since July of 2012 at Vernon.
Scott Steckly, who is coming off a pair of wins, qualified second at 17.315 (83.165), followed by Martin Roy at 17.334 (83.074).
J.R. Fitzpatrick and D.J. Kennington were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Rookie Alex Guenette qualified sixth, followed by Kerry Micks, L.P. Dumoulin, rookie Ryley Seibert and Hugo Vannini.
The green flag for the National 250 presented by Public Mobile is slated for 8:05 p.m.
