
ST. EUSTACHE, Quebec -- Looking for his third straight win in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1, Scott Steckly set the pace Saturday afternoon in practice for the National 250 at Autodrome St. Eustache.
Steckly posted a lap of 17.228 seconds (83.585) around the .4-mile oval to lead the second session ahead of J.R. Fitzpatrick and D.J. Kennington. Fitzpatrick had a lap of 17.339 (83.050) and Kennington checked in at 17.418 (82.673).
Rookie Alex Guenette was fourth and Jason Hathaway fifth fastest in practice.
Fitzpatrick's lap of 17.555 (82.028) led the first practice and was eighth fastest overall.
Qualifying is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. ET, with the green flag for the National 250 slated for 8:05 p.m.
