EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Eskimos released non-import punter Burke Dales on Monday.
Dales signed with Edmonton as a free agent in February 2012 but suffered a foot injury in September and missed the rest of the season.
In nine games with the Eskimos in 2012, the Concordia product punted 58 times for 2,739 yards and six singles.
The nine-year CFL veteran began his career in Calgary after signing as a free agent in 2005. In seven seasons with the Stampeders, Dales recorded 757 punts for 34,522 yards and 45 singles.
Dales is a four-time West Division all-star (2006, 2009, 2010, 2011), two-time CFL all-star (2010, 2011), and was named the West Division's top special teams player in 2010.
Non-import Grant Shaw has been handling punting and kicking duties for the Eskimos this season.
