The Montreal Canadiens added some much need toughness to their roster on Friday.
The club acquired forward George Parros from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Philippe Lefebvre and a 7th-round pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
The 33-year-old played 39 games with the Panthers last season, posting one goal and one assist with 57 penalty minutes.
Parros will provide the Canadiens with some much needed size up front, and will likely take the burden of fighting off of undersized forward Brandon Prust, who regularly had to fight against the other team's heavyweight's last season.
In eight seasons, Parros has 1007 penalty minutes in 452 games.
