Several media reports out of Saskatchewan say that former CFL Most Oustanding Defensive Player John Chick has agreed to a deal to return to the Sakatchewan Roughriders. Chick spent three seasons with the Riders from 2007-2009, winning a Grey Cup with the team in 2007.
Chick is reportedly en route from Florida to Saskatoon where he will undergo a physical before signing his contract and joining his teammates for training camp.
After being named the CFL's top defensive player in 2009, Chick signed with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts. He spent the 2010 season on the Colts practice roster.
After being waived by the Colts during training camp in 2011, Chick joined the Jacksonville Jaguars. He appeared in 17 games over two seasons with the Jaguars and tallied 10 defensive tackles with 2.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
