It appears Paula Deen has a Canadian singer-songwriter in her corner.
Jann Arden took to Twitter Tuesday evening to blast the media for their supposed mistreatment of Deen this week. The 51-year-old from Calgary went off on a half-sarcastic, half-maddened rant expressing her disgust.
Deen, a celebrity chef fired by the Food Network last Friday, recently admitted to using a racial slur – the N-word.
The network let her go because it "condemns the use of offensive and discriminatory language and behaviour of any kind."
Since the admission, Deen has been caught in a firestorm of controversy.
Deen is scheduled to appear on NBC's 'Today' show Wednesday, where it is expected she will defend herself.
