A bad assumption on my part though a lot of folks (as mc DACs not in an AVR or 'Player' are still rare) will do an HT bypass kind of thing with an AVR feeding the C and rears and the DAC handling the towers. There are SPDIF breakout boards and there are ways to say hook up 3 Myteks together. Way out of my league. I'll have to settle what's in Oppo's or AVRs till the MC ones get much much cheaper. That said, most of my music is still in 2 channels...

Didn't know that they were making actual DACs. Dunno how it sounds (for 600 u can get guaranteed audiophile solutions) still impressive. Thanks for pointing out.
I just looked that up and it's nice but it's stereo which doesn't help in a group discussing surround sound. Is there a 6-channel version? Could you hook up 3 of these to a PC and direct the 6 channels of audio to all of them in sync?--
