Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul did not practice Friday and won't be in the lineup for the team's game Saturday game against the New Jersey Devils (7 p.m. ET, CBC), according to reports.
The news initially was reported by James Mirtle of the (Toronto) Globe & Mail.Lupul has played in only 10 games this season due to a broken forearm suffered Jan. 23 against the Pittsburgh Penguins as well as a two-game suspension, but he's been electric when on the ice.
Lupul has at least one point in each of the seven games he's played since returning from his arm injury, totaling eight goals and six assists.
The Maple Leafs enter Friday sixth in the Eastern Conference with 44 points.
