Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane will not play for Team Canada at the upcoming World Hockey Championship.
Kane is dealing with a wrist injury and 'significant' foot injury that he says will likely need to be taken care of over the summer.
The Jets were eliminated from playoff contention during their final regular season game on Thursday night.
This season, Kane scored 17 goals and 16 assists for 33 points in 48 games.
Jets prospect Jacob Trouba will be attending Team USA's camp ahead of the Worlds, which gets underway next week.
