Crooner Michael Bublé was scheduled to give a performance underground yesterday in celebration of the MTA's expanding wireless service, sources said — but the gig was canceled when the city held a press conference about the Boston bombers' plan to attack Times Square. Undeterred, the singer gave his own impromptu performance Thursday for gobsmacked commuters. We're told Bublé had originally been scheduled to "sing in subway stations" to promote the MTA's increased Wi-Fi capability. But when the press op was canceled, Bublé wanted to perform anyway, so he headed down to the Lincoln Center/West 66th Street stop for an a capella performance with a backing group called Naturally 7. Together they crooned the Jackson 5 classic "Who's Lovin' You" twice for straphangers who were waiting for the 1 train. (We hear that Bublé didn't make any change from the appearance.) "This was a dream come true for me. Once you've sung in the subway waiting for the No. 1 train, you know you've made it," Bublé commented afterward.
