Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bozak says he expects to play in Game 1 on Wednesday night against the Boston Bruins.
The 27-year-old practiced on Tuesday on a line with Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk. He said afterwards that he's unsure whether he will be able to take faceoffs because of his upper-body injury.
"I haven't really tested out face-offs yet," Bozak told the media. "I'll do some in morning stake tomorrow and see how they feel. It's just one aspect of the game.
"If I'm not able to do those, we got guys who can step in...I think it shouldn't be a problem though."
Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle also said on Tuesday that he expects Bozak to play in the series opener.
Bozak missed the last two games of the regular season while nursing the injury. He had 12 goals and 16 assists in 46 games this season for the Leafs.
