Halifax Mooseheads general manager Cam Russell says that Nate MacKinnon has a "minor" lower-body tweak and is listed as day-to-day.
MacKinnon left Friday's game against the Moncton Wildcats in the second period with an undisclosed injury and did not return.
He contributed an assist earlier in the game but the Wildcats went on to an 8-5 home victory.
MacKinnon is consistently ranked with Portland Winterhawks defenceman Seth Jones atop the scouting reports for this summer's NHL Draft. The 17-year-old has 28 goals and 41 assists in 41 games this season for Halifax.
The Mooseheads are back in action on Saturday against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
