The Montreal Alouttes were busy Friday, locking up three potential free agents ahead of the start the free agency period.

General manager Jim Popp announced the signings of import CB Seth Williams, non-import fullback Dahrran Diedrick, and import DT Moton Hopkins all to new two-year deals.

Williams, 27, racked up 53 tackles and one interception in his second year with the Als last season.

"Seth has been a solid contributor for us and we feel his game improved steadily with each game he has played," Popp said in a team release. "The CFL game has slowed down with each game of experience."

Diedrick, 34, will return for an eighth year with Montreal. Last year the Nebraska product rushed for 55 yards on 12 carries, while also contributing on special teams.

"We welcome Dahrran's leadership and all-around special-teams- and running-back-play," Popp said in the team statement. "Dahrran has been a real team player on and off the field."

Hopkins will return to the Alouettes after missing the 2012 season due to a blood clot. The 26-year-old finished 2011 with four sacks and 17 tackles in 10 starts.

"We look forward to Moton's return. We missed him last year and spent most of the season with a rotation of players, but more importantly, we are very happy Moton is healthy again," said Popp.
