The iriver Astell & Kern portable Hi-fi Music Player has an
arrangement with HDTracks for it's co called Mastering Quality Sound
(MQS) files.
So they are dependent on HDTracks quality control
Apart from that hit and miss factor it does look very promise as it
can play 24bit/192 flac, or wav.
Obviously it will not play surround files, but what the hell does in
this blighted time?
I want one if it's as good as it's marketing speak
But for $700 I would get more enjoyment from it, not listening to it,
but ramming up the arse of their CEO!
