Sven Andrighetto scored once and set up another as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies doubled up the host Shawinigan Cataractes 6-3 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The 19-year-old extended his point streak to eight games in the victory and has five goals and 11 points during that stretch. The two-point performance gives the forward 19 goals and 44 points in 26 games this season, which is good for fifth in QMJHL scoring.

Mathieu Lemay also had a goal and an assist for the Huskies (18-9-1), who have won back-to-back contests, and Maxim St-Cyr, Gabriel Desjardins, Liam O'Brien and Jean-Sebastien Dea each scored once.

Dea now has 23 goals in 28 games, which leads his club, and his 43 total points puts him just one behind teammate Andrighetto.

Nikita Kucherov and Mathieu Brisebois had two assists apiece for Rouyn-Noranda.

Dylan Labbe scored once and added two assists for the Cataractes (4-20-3), who are winless in their last seven outings and sit last in the QMJHL standings.

Frederick Gaudreau and Vincent Arsenault also scored for Shawinigan.

Robin Gusse made 23 saves for the win as Marvin Cupper stopped 26-of-31 shots in a losing cause.

Special teams played a big factor for both clubs. Rouyn-Noranda went 3 for 6 on the power play while Shawinigan scored three times on six chances with the man advantage.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Sherbrooke 8, Val-d'Or 4; Moncton 4, Chicoutimi 1; Victoriaville P.E.I.

At Shawinigan, O`Brien opened the scoring 7:32 into the opening period to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead.

Labbe responded with a power-play goal at 18:36 for the Cataractes, but Andrighetto scored while a man up before the period finished to make it 2-1 Rouyn-Noranda after 20 minutes of play.

Gaudreau and Arsenault both scored with the man advantage less than five minutes into the second period to give Shawinigan its first lead of the game. However, St-Cyr scored at 11:21 to make it 3-3 heading into the final period.

At 5:20 of the third Desjardins scored what turned out to be the eventual game winner, while on the power play, and Dea added another power-play goal three minutes later to make it 5-3 Huskies.
