Alex Galchenyuk scored three times and set up one more to lead the Sarnia Sting to a 5-2 win over the host Peterborough Petes in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday.
The 18-year-old forward has five goals and 11 points in his last four games and now has 19 goals and 48 total points in 27 contests, which puts him third in OHL scoring.
Reid Boucher scored two goals for the Sting (15-11-2) and Charles Sarault chipped in with three assists.
Boucher has now scored in three straight games and has seven goals in those three outings while Sarault has produced three goals and 10 assists in his last three contests.
With Sarault's recent output, Sarnia boasts two players in the OHL's top-ten scorers.
Alan Quine and Jonatan Tanus scored for the Petes (6-20-3), who have lost eight of their last 10 games.
JP Anderson made 39 saves for the win as Michael Giugovaz stopped 21-of-25 shots in a losing cause.
Sarnia went 1 for 2 on the power play while Peterborough scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: London 3, Guelph 1; Brampton 6, Niagara 1; Kingston 3, Belleville 1; Kitchener 5, Plymouth 4 (SO); Owen Sound 2, Sault Ste. Marie 1 and Saginaw 10, Ottawa 3.
At Peterborough, Ont., Galchenyuk gave the Sting the lead a little over four minutes into the first period, however Quine connected on the power play at 17:59 to make it 1-1 after 20 minutes of play.
The Petes dominated the second period, outshooting the Sting 15-3, but weren't able to solve Anderson.
Galchenyuk took advantage of a Peterborough penalty and scored at the 18-minute mark to give the Sting a 2-1 lead heading into the final period.
Boucher extended Sarnia's lead 5:51 into the third before Tanus responded for Peterborough at 16:57.
Boucher made it 4-2 just over a minute later and Galchenyuk finished off the game with an empty-net goal in the final minute.

At Belleville, Ont., Mike Morrison made 42 saves and Sam Bennett and Darcy Greenaway scored power-play goals as Kingston (15-12-0) slipped past the Bulls (15-9-4), who failed to pick up at least one point for the first time in four tries.

At Plymouth, Mich., Radek Faksa scored the shootout winner and once more in regulation and Franky Palazzese made 38 saves, and stopped all three shooters in the shootout, as Kitchener (18-8-2) edged the Whalers (14-8-5).

At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Jordan Binnington stopped 32 shots and Daniel Catenacci had a goal and an assist as Owen Sound (20-5-3) defeated the Greyhounds (13-14-2) for its third win in a row.

At Saginaw, Mich., the Spirit (12-14-3) scored 10 straight goals, including two each from Garret Ross and Terry Trafford, as Saginaw came back from a 2-0 defecit to crush Ottawa (7-20-2), which is winless in five games.
