Brad Fritsch is on his way to the big time, according to QMI Agency.
The 34-year-old has made the jump from Rideau View Country Club in Manotick to the PGA Tour and it sounds like he might be taking the Senators with him.
It's expected a deal between the two will be announced in the near future — it might have been already if there hadn't been an NHL lockout — that will see Fritsch, a Senators fan, carry the club's logo on this bag.
The two sides had been discussing a deal for a while, but things have been ratcheted up with Fritsch earning full-time status on the PGA Tour Sunday by finishing in 18th place on the Web.com Tour money list. The top 25 players earned their cards.
The Senators deal will likely be just one of a few sponsorship opportunities that should come Fritsch's way.
Gaining status on the PGA Tour offers great visibility to sponsors.
Fritsch has played Titleist equipment for years.
