VAL-D'OR, Que. -- Jerome Verrier's power-play goal gave the Drummondville Voltigeurs the insurance they needed in a 3-2 win over the Val-d'Or Foreurs in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play Thursday.
Olivier Archambault and Marc-Olivier Brouillard also scored for Drummondville (6-5-0).
Brouillard scored on a penalty shot in the first period after Val-d'Or's Artem Sergeev was sent off for hooking.
Verrier meanwhile scored at 7:22 in the second to put the Voltigeurs up for good.
Anton Zlobin and Anthony Mantha each scored for the Foreurs (4-7-0).
Louis-Philip Guindon made 26 saves in net for Drummondville, while at the other end of the ice Francois Tremblay stopped 24 shots.
