KAMLOOPS, B.C. -- Kamloops, B.C., has been awarded the Canadian men's curling championship for the second time.
The Canadian Curling Association announced Tuesday that the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier will be played March 1-9 at the Interior Savings Centre.
Kamloops last hosted the Brier in 1996, when Manitoba's Jeff Stoughton stole the victory against Alberta's Kevin Martin in an extra end.
This will mark just the seventh time that British Columbia has hosted the Brier since the championship began in 1927 in Toronto.
The 2013 Tim Hortons Brier will be held March 2-10 at Rexall Place in Edmonton.
TSN and RDS are the exclusive broadcasters of the Tim Hortons Brier.
