The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will have Joe Elliott as their starting quarterback once again when they face the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Sunday's Banjo Bowl.
Head coach Tim Burke said veteran quarterback Buck Pierce will not be available for the contest and that the club doesn't plan on making drastic changes.
"We are going to win with what we have," Burke said.
Pierce suffered torn ligaments in his left foot when Eskimos defensive lineman Ted Laurent tackled him on July 13.
Burke said it was a lack of execution and not effort that led to the 52-0 shutout at the hands of the Roughriders in Week 10.
Elliott completed nine of 19 passes for 61 yards with one interception in the contest. His reliever Alex Brink completed five of seven passes for 35 yards.
The Bombers are now 2-7 and have gone eight years without a win over the Roughriders in the Labour Day Classic.
