ac3 in a .wav wrapper, then compressed to flac, is how I store and listen
to my ac3 files...using foobar2k. So it certainly is possible.
I wrap ripped .ac3 files as .wav (then compress to flac) with Audiomuxer.
My foobar config uses the foo_spdif dll and wasapi for bit-perfect output
to an AVR. Do NOT use foo_ac3, that is a decoder, not a bitstreamer.
