REGINA -- Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says something needs to be done about a new stadium in Regina and it will.
Wall told supporters at a dinner event that the status quo is not on for the aging Mosaic Stadium, home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders football team.
Wall said the government will work with partners to look at options to make sure that -- in his words -- "we get it right."
The premier later told reporters that a final funding decision has not yet been made.
The province punted plans for a domed stadium last year due to a lack of federal funding and said it would be up to the city to come up with new plan.
The city has proposed a new open air stadium and has asked the province to kick in $230 million.
