PORTLAND, Ore. -- Oliver Gabriel had a pair of goals, including the game winner late in the third period, to lead the Portland Winterhawks over the Edmonton Oil Kings 3-2 in Game 6 of the Western Hockey League final Saturday night.
The series is now tied at three games apiece. Game 7 is Sunday night in Edmonton.
Joe Morrow had the other goal for Portland while Cam Reid had two assists.
Michael St Croix and Stephane Legaut scored for Edmonton.
Oil Kings goalie Laurent Brossoit made 42 saves, while Portland's Mac Carruth stopped 30 shots.
