TORONTO -- Forward Stanislav Galiev of the Saint John Sea Dogs was named the season's final CHL player of the week on Tuesday.
Galiev scored four goals and three assists in two games as the Sea Dogs repeated as Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champions with a series sweep over the Rimouski Oceanic.
The 20-year-old Washington Capitals prospect had five points, including a hat trick, in Saint Johns' series-clinching 8-0 victory last Thursday. He finished tied for first in playoff scoring with teammate Charlie Coyle with 16 goals and 34 points in 17 games.
The Moscow, Russia, native is in his third QMJHL season with the Sea Dogs. He was drafted by the Capitals in the third round of the 2010 NHL draft.
The Memorial Cup-champion Sea Dogs will begin defence of their title starting Saturday, when they open a series against OHL-champions the London Knights.
