The Quebec Remparts announced Tuesday that forward Mikhail Grigorenko is suffering from mononucleosis and will need four to six weeks of recovery time.
"As of the end of the season, Grigorenko informed our medical team that he felt tired," said the team in a statement. "He was immediately given several medical tests which concluded with this result."
Grigorenko, one of the top propsects eligible for this June's NHL Draft, scored 40 goals and 85 points in 59 games with the Remparts this season.
In 11 playoff games, Grigorenko scored seven goals and 10 points.
