Vancouver emo-pop band Marianas Trench leads the pack at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards with a whopping seven nominations including video of the year for Fallout.
Close behind is Toronto rapper Drake and Vancouver pop-punk band Hedley with five nods each including in the best video category for Headlines and Invincible, respectively.
Quadruple nominees are Vancouver pop singer (and recent Justin Bieber label signee) Carly Rae Jepsen and Toronto pop-hip-hop act Down With Webster with nods for both in the video of the year category for Call Me Maybe and She's Dope, respectively.
Speaking of Stratford, Ont.-born Biebs, he scored two MMVA nods for international video of the year by a Canadian and UR Fave artist for his new single, Boyfriend.
The MMVAs will be broadcast live from MuchMusic's Queen and John parking lot and surrounding streets on June 17 with double nominees Katy Perry and party-rockers LMFAO the only confirmed performers so far. LMFAO are also co-hosting.
