Jessica Paré's character Megan Calvet -- now Megan Draper -- took "Mad Men" by storm, becoming a central part of Don Draper's life, and the show, practically overnight. Now she'll vie against co-star Elisabeth Moss for a lead actress Emmy nomination.
Last year, Paré's name was also submitted by AMC, reports Gold Derby, but in the guest star category. Voters didn't go for it. But since she's become such a vital part of the story, she may be difficult to ignore this time around. Co-star January Jones -- who plays the ex-Mrs. Draper -- has also shuffled categories, returning to the supporting arena.
What do you think? Does the actress who plays the woman who (so far) has kept Don Draper fully engaged in his marriage and even manages dominate him from time-to-time deserve Emmy consideration? Or should AMC have just backed Moss in the lead actress category, rather than risk dividing the votes for a "Mad Men" nominee?
