{allcanada} Bieber, Furtado to perform at MMVAs

Canadian pop-R&B superstar Justin Bieber is everywhere.

On the same day the Biebs announced his Believe North American tour will stop at Rogers Centre in December, the 18-year-old Stratford, Ont, native has also confirmed a performing slot at the MuchMusic Video Awards on June 17 in Toronto.

"I'm so excited to be coming back home for this year's MMVAs," said double MMVA nominee Bieber in a statement. It's an honour to be nominated and performing. I can't wait!"

Also announced as new MMVA performers are Vancouver pop newcomer Carly Rae Jepsen (who is opening on Biebs' tour), Toronto's pop-hip-hop-world music star Nelly Furtado, and Vancouver emo-pop band Marianas Trench.

They join previously announced performers, co-hosts LMFAO and Katy Perry.

The 2012 MMVAs will be broadcast from MuchMusic's headquarters in Toronto at 9 p.m. ET with the red carpet special at 8 p.m. ET.
