RE: [SurroundSound] Re: TAAB2

Is the DVD a DVD-A with the surround tracks MLP? Or, is it a DVD-V with DD
or DTS surround tracks?

That's good to hear. Perhaps the hardest thing about this DVD has been
finding a copy. However, I see it's now available at my local retailer for
around $22 -- that includes the DVD and the CD. Certainly priced right.

I've listened to the 2-channel FLAC for over a week now. With tracks like
"Adrift and Dumbfounded", "A Change of Horses", "Confessional", and "What
ifs, Maybes And Might-have-beens", who can complain that this release isn't
another fine Tull achievement? I like the sprinkling of the Brick 1 theme
throughout. At the moment, the last line of the album is still my favorite
line.

I read the extras on the DVD are fun as well, i.e., I'd like to hear Ian's
different takes on "Might-have-beens".

Ian's website provides lots of additional reading material about this
release. For the first time ever, he wrote all the lyrics then set the
lyrics to music. Martin Barre is absent preparing for a solo album. I hope
it's great too.

I do wish he'd created at least one track entitled, "Thick as a Brick 2."
But that's just me. This is another kick-ass Tull tunes.

I don't understand why this one went to DVD instead of bluray. But, hey,
this is 2012. That we get a new prog-rock album of this kind is truly a
gift.

Thank you Ian Anderson. Thank you Steven Wilson. You so

RULE.
