{allcanada} RAPTORS RE-SIGN ANDERSON, UZOH BEFORE HOSTING CAVS ON TSN

TORONTO -- The Toronto Raptors re-signed guard-forward Alan Anderson and guard Ben Uzoh to their second 10-day contracts Friday.

The moves come ahead of the Raptors contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. The game can be seen live on TSN at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt.

The Raptors signed Anderson to his original 10-day deal on March 26, while Uzoh was added on March 27.

The six-foot-six 220-pound Anderson has appeared in six games with Toronto, averaging 5.8 points and two rebounds in 16 minutes.

He came to the Raptors from the NBA D-League's Canton Charge, where he averaged 21.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in eight appearances.

Uzoh has appeared in five games with the Raptors, averaging 3.2 points and 2.6 assists and 12 minutes.

The six-foot-three 205-pound Uzoh joined the Raptors from the NBA D-League's Rio Grande (Texas) Valley Vipers where he averaged 14.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and just over 30 minutes in 20 appearances.

Meanwhile, Toronto also signed guard Justin Dentmon to a 10-day contract Friday.

Dentmon has averaged 22.8 points, 5.5 assists and 37 minutes in 40 games with the NBA D-League's Austin (Texas) Toros.

Later tonight, Toronto will try to push their season high winning streak to four games and is coming off Wednesday's 99-78 victory at Philadelphia. Andrea Bargnani scored 24 points and DeMar DeRozan had 18 for the Raptors, who were fresh off a 3-2 homestand that ended with back-to-back wins over Washington and Charlotte.

"It was a more important game for them than for us, but we fight every night," said Toronto guard Jose Calderon.

Calderon added 12 points and 13 assists for the Raptors despite taking an elbow to the eye from Elton Brand in the second quarter. Toronto hasn't won four straight since Nov. 17-24, 2010 and is 11-17 as the host this season. It set a franchise record by holding the Sixers to 22 points in the second half.

The Raptors will visit Oklahoma City and Indiana after hosting the Cavs. They have won consecutive games to open the month of April for the first time since the 2002 campaign.
