The Toronto Maple Leafs were involved in a minor-league deal with the Ducks on Monday, sending forward Dale Mitchell to Anahiem in exchange for blueliner Mark Fraser.
Fraser, 25, is in his fourth season in the NHL. He has four NHL games under his belt this season where he collected no points.
Drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round (84th overall) of the 2005 entry draft, he was traded to the Ducks this past December, along with Rod Pelley and a seventh-round draft pick, in exchange for Kurtis Foster and Timo Pielmeier.
Mitchell, 20, skated in two games with the Marlies this season, registering no points and two penalty minutes.
